About Pamela

Her singing has been called, “honey-hued, meltingly sensual, arresting, sensitve, powerful…” Audiences often compare her vocals to everyone from pop singers Sade and Des’ree to the legendary jazz vocalist Sarah Vaughn. For the past few years Pamela Jordan has carved out a niche for herself as a jazz chanteuse playing clubs, brewpubs and coffee houses and working as a featured vocalist for the Woody Hite and Dr. T. Big Bands

Jordan was selected from more than 700 contestants as a finalist for the Lilith Fair Opening Act Contest. She also won the Portland Songwriters Association National Songwriting Contest’s jazz category for her song, The Fall of Love.

Her first CD, Standard procedure, garnerd critical acclaim for Jordan’s rich warm sound and masterful interpretation of jazz standards.

On her next CD, The Fall of Love, Jordan used her stellar vocal talent to perform exprtland crafted original songs.

Her most recent recording, Think of You, Jordan worked with producer and bassist Andrew Kallenberger, to bring a freshness and unique sound to a set of Jordan’s songs.

Working with lyricist and author Brian Christopher (a frequent collaborator with Canadian singer, Geno Vannelli), Jordan writes tunes that cross musical generes, and move listeners with every track.
